The lively neighbourhood of Sylt-Ost is a gateway to the Frisian archipelago. Discover vibrant underwater ecosystems at Sylt Aquarium. The North Sea exhibits are fantastic and introduce you to eels, octopus, cat sharks and other cold water species. In the tropical tanks, you’ll see colourful corals populated by starfish and anemones. You’ll love watching the beautiful leopard rays and zebra sharks swim by.

Morsum Kliff nature sanctuary protects a unique landscape of coastal heathland and rugged clay cliffs. Trails wind through the park and treat you to beautiful views over the Wadden Sea. Birders will be in their element, with the chance to spot skylarks, sand martins, spotted shelducks and little ringed plovers.

Step back in time and learn about local history, culture and traditions at the Old Frisian House. The museum occupies a thatch-roof cottage from the 18th century and is decorated with period furniture. Hands-on weaving demonstrations are a great introduction to the centuries-old craft.
