There’s really nothing wrong with the place. It’s comfortable , quiet, clean, and the staff is excellent. Kinda has a fake Yoga Zen vibe near the busy main road. 30 min very hot walk to the beach. Room slippers are very noisy. There’s an awesome supermarket across the street. Good for a night or two.

We stayed at Amala for 4 nights, staff were excellent. Check in was very nice, timely and we were early so went nearby to explore. The place overall is small but the staff know you which is great. the villa was very spacious, but safe to say it has been 'lived in' and feels a little worn out downstairs. The rooms are nice however and the master bedroom is excellent with a brilliant bathroom. We steered clear of the en suite downstairs, t has an open air corner which in Asia doesn't really work due to mosquitoes etc. Location wise excellent, a short walk to shops, minimart, massage places, restaurants. and extremely quick and convenient to get a taxi. The breakfast on day 1 was excellent and is an a la carte choice, but it felt like it was up and down in terms of consistency. Much of the same food we ordered on day 1 didn't have the same taste or all of the trimmings it ha on day 1. All in all a good place, but can be improved and probably modernised. Staff however were a 10/10.

The best experience I had.. neat and clean hotel. The pool is nice and big. Rooms clean and the hotel ambience is serene

A unique villa experience at an affordable price. Staff was extremely helpful and sensitive to my needs. Definitely recommend staying here!
