DislikedThe staff could be more professional and competent, they gave us wrong information about Yas island attractions bus schedule, acceptable clothes for Abrahamic family house and breakfast start and finish times. This caused somewhat inconvenience and bitter aftertaste. A woman receptionist who checked us in was a bit rude when answering our questions. Even though the hotel is 5 star, it is far from it. Quite an ordinary room, carpet had stains, mini bar that should have been included in reality was not. There’s a big construction site opposite the hotel. Cleaning was exceptionally awful, they changed out linen to a new one with stains, took hand towels and the bathroom mat but didn’t give us any new towels, so we had to call the reception. After calling, no one attended the problem, so we had to call again and again. Finally when the housekeeper brought the towels, turned out there was only one big towel, even though there should be at least a couple, for 2 people. The cup that was brought during the cleaning instead of the used one had tea stain on the inside as though it was just rinsed with water and not cleaned properly. The same story happened with dustbin, we called to asked the housekeeping team to pick it up, it took multiple calls to the reception and no bag was given to us in return to place in the bin instead of the used one. Disappointing and disgusting. It felt like the housekeeping team simply didn’t know how to do the cleaning. During breakfast the same thing happaned, it took the staff forever to clean the tables given the fact that the breakfast areas are not big (both downstairs and mezzanine floor) and people are in constant need of tables to sit at. The first breakfast was particularly unpleasant as the chef was arguing with the customers and then had a loud conversation with a manager. It was not nice to hear some arguments and listen to some loud conversation while being on holiday.

LikedI have stayed before and had better experiences so was really surprised this time.

DislikedNo hot water in the shower, it was only mildly warm. I requested this to be fixed but the repairman thought I had the tap in the wrong position and didn’t adjust the heat settings! Very uncomfortable bed. Valet staff are miserable and do not welcome you.
