Sofitel Berlin Kurfurstendamm Hotel

The location was great, right next to the subway, shopping on Ku'damm right outside the door, some good restaurants within walking distance - all really perfect. Front desk and staff in the hotel really friendly and always endeavored to the guest. Our room was very large, especially the three of us the bathroom. Cleanliness was okay, it would be a bit more detailed. Breakfast was great, there was plenty of choice, we did not miss anything. Highly recommended for families, we would definitely come back.

The hotel is well located with good transport options. It feels safe and solid and hushed and well-designed, with wide corridors and beautifully designed large rooms. We heard no noise from inside or outside the hotel during our stay. The bathroom was large, spotless and well-stocked. There was plenty of storage space, and the bed was large. Lighting was perfect, as was the aircon. In particular, we loved the sense of perfection in the original design of the room. Check-in and -out was pleasant and efficient, and the door staff were proactive in offering umbrellas when the weather started to misbehave. There were a few flaws that seemed incongruous to the overall sense of efficiency. There was an advertised turn down service that didn't happen once during our 3 night stay. Housekeeping left too many decaf coffee capsules and too few regular, something they must have been aware of. We got a free bottle of water on arrival, and one on our third day, but not on our second. The TV had a huge selection of channels, which was absolutely great.
