About Aranđelovac

Nestled beneath the mountains of Bukulja and Venčac, Arandelovac is a leafy town in the heart of Serbia. It’s renowned for its sparkling mineral waters that have been bottled since the early 20th century, as well as its historic buildings and a family-friendly water park.

Things to do in Aranđelovac

One of the most popular attractions in Arandelovac is Bukovička Banja, a spa treatment centre located in a park dotted with marble statues. It was made famous by the Serbian writer and Enlightenment leader, Dositej Obradović, who had its remedial sparkling mineral waters transported to his court in Belgrade. After bathing in its cold and hot spring water baths, you can stroll through the flower-filled park and admire the Romanticist-style Staro Zdanje.

On the eastern edge of Park Bukovičke Banja is the Pavilion of Prince Miloš, which was designed in a Vienna Secession style by the Serbian architect Branko Tanazević. It was constructed as the first bottling plant in the country, with the mineral water source in the centre, a bottling factory in the north and a colonnade featuring a pastry shop in the south wing. The pavilion houses a small museum about Bukovička Banja and an art gallery displaying works from Serbia and beyond.

Travelling with kids? Don’t miss a visit to Izvor Aqua Park, which encompasses several swimming pools and water play areas. Brave one of the highest water slides in Serbia or ride the kid-friendly Rabbit Slide before taking advantage of the tennis, basketball and soccer courts.

Getting around Aranđelovac

Arandelovac is just over an hour’s drive from the centre of Belgrade and Nikola Tesla Airport, which has flights to destinations across Europe and the Middle East. Buses travel throughout Arandelovac, although the centre is compact enough to explore on foot.
