Getting around

George is a 4.5-hour drive from Cape Town along the N2 highway, which also connects the city to Port Elizabeth, Knysna and Durban. George Airport receives domestic flights and is a 10-minute drive from the walkable city centre. Rental cars, taxis and local buses provide transport around the area.
