About Juan Dolio

Overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Juan Dolio is a former fishing village that has flourished into one of the Dominican Republic’s liveliest seaside communities. Prior to a devastating hurricane in 1998, it was mainly dominated by all-inclusive resorts but has reinvented itself with high-end golfing facilities and luxury country clubs.

You can kick back beneath a beach umbrella on the sands of Playa Juan Dolio, which stretches along the length of the village. It’s backed by lively restaurants such as Octopus Bay and the Nibirus Beach Spot, as well as dive shops offering excursions to explore the surrounding waters.

Golfers can test their skills on the fairways of the Guavaberry Golf and Country Club, which was designed by Gary Player. It borders a native tropical forest and boasts a 4.5-metre-high waterfall that cascades into a picturesque pond. After your round, you can dine at Restaurant Hoyo 19 within the elegant clubhouse.
