Immerse yourself in England’s rich and varied history at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, which has an interactive gallery on the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment where you can witness a genuine World War I tank named “Daphne”. Afterwards, come face-to-face with Lincolnshire’s first inhabitants at the award-winning archaeology museum, The Collection.

Walk in the footsteps of England’s kings and queens at Lincoln Castle. Resting at the top of a hill for nearly 1,000 years, it offers views of the surrounding countryside from the medieval walls. You can also venture underground to witness one of only four surviving copies of the Magna Carta.

Getting around

Lincoln is connected to the rest of the United Kingdom by an efficient road and rail network. It’s two hours by train or four hours by car from London. Shuttle buses, local taxis and rental bikes are the best ways to explore town. Humberside International Airport is a 45-minute drive away.
