The ski area is home to 28 lifts, with more than 150 runs and over 1,400 hectares of skiable terrain.

In the summer months, Mammoth Lakes showcases its natural beauty in other ways. You can take a hike in Devils Postpile National Monument, where you’ll find an incredible geological formation of columnar basalt. The rugged landscapes of Yosemite National Park are nearby, as are spectacular Sierra Nevada views at John Muir Wilderness Area.

The region’s lakes and waterways are ideal for outdoor adventures like hiking and swimming, such as Rainbow Falls with its scenic trail and cascading waterfalls. Don’t miss the chance to go fishing in the creeks and lakes, where it’s possible to reel in rainbow and brown trout.

For some of the best views in the area, visit the summit of Mammoth Mountain. At an elevation of 3,369 meters, it’s the perfect place to observe the entire region. It features a convenient gondola, so visitors of all ability levels can enjoy the views.
