The history of Simrishamn can be explored at the Österlens Museum, which hosts exhibitions, guided walks and hands-on workshops. You can browse the cultural artefacts, vintage costumes and artwork on display, coincide your visit with a traditional willow braiding class or pick up locally made jewellery and spices at the museum store.

Auto enthusiasts shouldn’t miss a visit to the Autoseum - Nisse Nilsson Collection, where you’ll find an impressive collection of cars and motorcycles dating back to 1898. Get up close to a 19th-century Dansk Automobilfabrik Voiturette and a Ferrari Dino from 1970, as well as a pre-World War I Harley Davidson. The museum also houses an exhibition dedicated to one of Sweden’s motor race greats, Stefan “Lill-Lövis” Johansson, with his helmets, trophies and overalls on display.

For a leisurely lunch, head to the Nordic Sea Winery, which was established by Takis Soldatos in 2008. It sources its grapes from around the globe before refining, ageing and bottling them at this ultra-modern facility. Settle in for a guided tasting accompanied by cheeses and charcuteries or enjoy the winery’s seasonally inspired menu in the alfresco dining area.
