One of the most famous natural attractions in Australia, The Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks just offshore from Port Campbell National Park on the iconic Great Ocean Road. Despite the name, only eight limestone stacks remain, yet they still create one of the most beautiful photographs captured along the eastern coastline.
From the visitor facility, you need only traverse a short walking trail to the various lookout points, including Castle Rock, which reveals panoramic vistas north and south. The nearby Gibson Steps grant access to the sandy beach, where you can stroll along the ocean, swim in the shallows or admire the dramatic cliffs from below.

Getting there
The Twelve Apostles is located just off the Great Ocean Road, about three hours’ drive from Melbourne. There is ample on-site parking available at the Twelve Apostles Visitor Facility, which is a five-minute walk from the nearest lookout.
