The city of Dundee is situated on the Firth of Tay along the North Sea Coast of Scotland. Scotland’s fourth largest city is located 58 kilometres north of Edinburgh bordered by two burns flowing out of the River Tay. Dundee is a melting pot of modern cultural significance and historical landmarks.

Dundee boasts a vibrant tourist scene featuring the V&A Museum of Design, a gem located along the waterfront, and Verdant Works, an impressive industrial museum. A reigning location of interest is Discovery Point, offering tours and interactive displays of the history of the boat Discovery and its Antarctic journey. Other popular things to do include viewing exhibitions at the many art museums and theatres or playing a round at one of the championship golf courses.

The city of Dundee provides an extensive public bus network for locals and tourists based out of the primary Seagate Bus Station. Other stations include Invergowrie, Balmossie and Monifieth. The A90 road serves the majority of the Dundee area. Additionally, the area contains its own Dundee Airport with limited commercial services.

Modern day Dundee serves as a prominent player in regional employment and education as well as retail contribution for the northern area of Scotland. This contribution is in part a result of its recognition as an Enterprise Zone in 1984.
