Things to do in Gay Village

Stroll along Rue Sainte-Catherine, a pedestrianised street lined with bars and restaurants. In summer, the street is decorated with rainbow flags and a canopy of colourful balls. Buskers and street performers add to the festive atmosphere. Patios spill onto the street and will tempt you with happy hour specials. Snack on French Canadian classics like “poutine” fries topped with gravy and cheese curds.

Browse designer boutiques and specialty shops strung along Rue Amherst. Many are housed in handsome Victorian buildings and shopfronts.
