About Sculptureum

Located in the Matakana countryside, Sculptureum showcases some of New Zealand’s best art, food and wine in a picturesque setting. The sprawling sculpture-filled gardens pair perfectly with six intimate art galleries, a vineyard, events space and on-site restaurant and bar called Rothko.

The family-run Sculptureum is owned by Anthony and Sandra Grant, who have devoted more than 10 years collecting a unique range of sculptures promoting creativity. The hundreds of works on display in the gardens include whimsical animal creations, depictions of children playing in the gardens and vibrant meerkats. Head indoors to browse the art galleries and admire contemporary creations that evoke deeper thought.

Take a break from admiring the artwork at Rothko Restaurant, where the renowned Chef Jarrod McGregor’s serves a menu of seasonal produce paired with award-winning wines made from grapes grown at Sculptureum’s vineyard. The restaurant also provides an exclusive chef’s table experience and wine tastings.
