About Ang Mo Kio

Ang Mo Kio is an urbanised town with multiple shopping centres and dining hubs, as well as various subzones with their own unique food centres, gardens and leafy streets. However, you’ll also find a wealth of natural spaces, from sprawling urban parks to pristine reservoirs.

Explore the numerous themed gardens, from the vibrant Frangipani Garden to the Green Vibes Garden, before enjoying a picnic by the tranquil lake. You can join locals for tai chi in the mornings or fish for guppies in the water.

Not far from the park is the historic Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, built in 1921. This revered Buddhist temple is the largest of its kind in Singapore and often hosts significant events, such as Vesak Day, and has an intricate Eastern architectural style.

Appease your shopping cravings with a visit to AMK Hub, a suburban shopping mall an eight-screen cinema, Asian and Western restaurants and over 100 specialty boutiques covering health, fitness, fashion and electronics. Duck over to Jubilee Square for a range of unique retail and entertainment outlets, such as Animal Kingdom, Avone Beauty Secrets and Game Connection.

Don’t forget to experience some of Singapore’s top attractions right outside Ang Mo Kio, including the naturally resplendent TreeTop Walk, which lets you wander above the treetops.
