Things to do in Bukit Batok

Hang out at the Bukit Batok Nature Park, a former quarry turned into a lush natural haven. Winding pathways take you through dense woodland and reveal scenic lookouts, a tranquil pond, children’s playground and the remains of an old World War II memorial. On the opposite side of town is Bukit Batok Hillside Park, ideal for picnics or letting the kids run around.

Retail therapy comes naturally at the eight-storey-high West Mall, home to over 150 stores, along with restaurants, cafes, a six-screen theatre and public library. You can spend hours here browsing through stores, such as Beauty Language, Giordano, Japan Home and Kitty Mobile. If you’re hungry after all that shopping, head to Mufiz Food Centre, which specialises in authentic Asian dishes.

If you want to watch some local sport, time your visit with a game at Bukit Gombak Stadium, which hosts athletics competitions and football games. If you need to cool off, make a beeline for the family-friendly Bukit Batok Swimming Complex, which has shaded picnic areas and ample space for swimming laps or playing games.

While you’re in Bukit Batok, don’t miss a visit to Singapore’s unforgettable TreeTop Walk, a free-standing suspension bridge that offers views across the treetops and deep into the lush forest. It’s a short walk from Jelutong Tower, another excellent lookout with 360-degree views of the surrounding forest and city.
