Things to do in Gunpo
Explore the mountain trails of Surisan, which serves as the boundary between Anyang and Gunpo. It’s home to the 6th-century traditional Jogye Buddhist temple of Surisa that was built during the Silla Kingdom and is reached along a forested road famed for its spectacular scenery.
Watch the sunset over Banwol Lake, a man-made reservoir and popular recreational spot. Cast out a fishing line or picnic along the scenic shores, then mingle with locals during sunset.

Bustling at all hours and illuminated by bright neon signs, it’s clustered with international restaurants, shopping malls and street performers.
Getting around Gunpo
Gunpo is around 1.5 hours by train from Incheon International Airport and is connected to Seoul’s city centre by subway. Two subway lines run north to south through the city and buses connect most of Gunpo’s sights and Surisan’s hiking trails.
