Situated just 25 kilometres from Venice, Treviso Airport is a hub for budget airlines Wizz Air and Ryanair. Treviso is Venice's second airport and there are easy transfers into the centre of the historic city.

Wizz Air flights arrive and depart in the morning, bringing visitors from a string of cities across Eastern Europe. Ryanair flights operate in the afternoon and evening, with regular departures to destinations across Western Europe. Some routes are seasonal and only operate during the summer months, as this is a small and easy to navigate airport with a single terminal. While located in the town of Treviso, it's almost exclusively used by tourists visiting Venice, with some airlines referring to it as Venice-Treviso Airport. Marco Polo Airport is Venice's main aerial hub.

A regular bus service connects Treviso Airport with Piazzale Roma in the west of Venice's historic centre. Departures are timed to coincide with flight arrivals and the journey takes 40 minutes. Upon arrival, it's a charming walk or water taxi journey along the canals to destinations in San Polo, San Marco and Cannaregio. For other destinations, a local bus runs to Treviso Centrale train station.

The airport's new terminal opened in 2007 and is named after Antonio Canova, an Italian artist famous for his elaborate marble sculptures.
