Hiking trails wind along the cape and take you to coastal landmarks like the Spouting Horn geyser, Devil’s Churn whirlpool and Thor's Well chasm.

Yachats State Park overlooks the river mouth and features a rocky basalt shoreline. Low tide reveals crystalline pools filled with anemones, sea stars and hermit crabs. It’s a great place to hunt for gemstones and watch the fiery Pacific Northwest sunsets.
